Product Description

In 1952 Australia was running a small unit that evacuated troops wounded in Korea by air to base hospitals in Japan. Norman Herfort, press photographer for Pix magazine, covered the evacuation of Australian troops in October 1952. In this scene, reminiscent of the TV series MASH, a soldier is being treated at an American or Norwegian surgical unit near the front lines.
