On a wet and soggy day in March 1950, dog lovers turned out in record numbers for the St Ives Championship Dog Show. Billed as one of the biggest canine shows in the Southern Hemisphere, it lived up to its name with over 900 entries. Rather than focus on the shows events, the Pix photographer looked behind the scenes.
