Product Description
This wonderful panorama captures the scale of wheat harvesting in Australia at the beginning of the twentieth century. Tractors were yet to replace horses, and in this picture we can see more than a dozen harvesters taking hay to the threshing machines. The photo was taken at Narromine by American adventurer and photographer Melvin Vaniman, who travelled through Australia in 1903 and 1904.
