Formed in Sydney in 1964, the Easybeats were the perfect antipodean echo of the Beatles’ slick mod style and Liverpool sound. They were the first Australian act to score an international pop hit with their 1966 single ‘Friday on My Mind’. Here, lead guitarist and co-songwriter Harry Vander poses with Lorraine and Gail, presidents of the Easybeats fan club.
