Title page of Aurora Australis, printed in 1908 by members of the British Antarctic Expedition, 1907-09, the first book ever printed in the Polar regions; ed. by E. H. Shackleton. Loose sheets laced in wooden covers, made of packing-cases which contained the provisions. Estimated only about 90 copies printed.
